We are pleased to announce the formal establishment of our Shariah Advisory Panel, comprising respected scholars, to ensure our work remains aligned with Islamic principles.
Purpose:
The Advisory Panel's purpose is to ensure all charity donations, policies, practices and overall operational frameworks of Abdullah Aid fully align with Sharia principles.
The Advisory Panel:
Maulana Muhammad Saleem Nawab: A distinguished scholar and teacher based in London. Maulana Saleem Nawab is among the most senior Islamic scholars in the region. With over 27 years of experience, he serves as Shaykhul Hadith and associate principal at Madani Girls’ School & College and Quwwatul Islam (Forest Gate). Previously, he taught Hadith and Tafsir at Darul Uloom London for nearly two decades.
Mufti Menk: Also serves as an Ambassador of Abdullah Aid who visits numerous countries to oversee and monitor our projects. A globally renowned Islamic scholar, motivational speaker, and educator. As the Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, he has dedicated his life to spreading messages of peace and unity, His wisdom and guidance continue to inspire individuals and communities across the globe.
Maulana Zakaria Maljee: A qualified Islamic scholar dedicated to serving the community. He graduated from Jamiah Mahoodia Springs, South Africa. He is a visiting Khateeb and Imaam pursuing his passion for teaching Islamic Studies, Arabic, Quran and Hadith at Jamiah Madeentul Uloom Emdee Stamford Hill.
Maulana Tahir Talati: Memorised the Holy Qur’an at 14 and later pursued a seven-year Alimiyyah programme at Imam Zakariya Academy (IZA) London, earning a qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. He is currently engaged in teaching Qur’an and Hadith within the Alimiyyah programme at IZA.
