There are reportedly more than 1,000,000 orphans who require support in Tanzania. In Islam, an orphan is described as a child who has lost their father or both parents. Most of these orphans live with their grandparents, who are often unable to meet their needs and provide for them as they should.

Many of these orphans are at an age where they should be learning, but unfortunately, due to their circumstances, they are deprived of education. Without education, it becomes difficult for them to secure employment as adults.

Chronic poverty is another significant factor contributing to the orphan crisis. Poverty leads to children being separated from their families and placed into orphanages. Families struggling with poverty often find it hard to access essential services, including healthcare, education, and financial support.

Our project aims to construct an orphan centre to care for deprived and poverty-stricken orphans in Tanzania. The centre will ensure that each orphan receives a quality education and has their daily needs taken care of. The goal is to give these children hope and prepare them for a brighter future.

*Zakaat funds will be used towards Orphan Care & not towards the construction of the centre.
